Free, curriculum-aligned Year 4 maths practice — lock in the full times tables, master multi-digit methods, and meet decimals, with a fresh weekly challenge and step-by-step lessons.
The core of the Australian Curriculum for Year 4 — all practised free on KAOO.
Place value into the tens of thousands, ordering and rounding.
All multiplication facts to 10 × 10, recalled quickly and accurately.
Multi-digit multiplication and division, including remainders.
Equivalent fractions, and the first look at decimals — tenths and hundredths.
Measuring shapes, comparing angles, and working with length and area.
Describing likelihood, and collecting and interpreting data.
Year 4 is when the full times tables need to become automatic — not worked out, but instantly recalled. That fluency is what makes fractions, decimals and long multiplication click rather than frustrate. Short, regular timed practice is the single best way to build it.
Year 4 is also when NSW students sit the Opportunity Class (OC) test for Year 5 entry, which includes a mathematical reasoning component. KAOO’s timed Weekly Maths Challenge is excellent preparation — it builds accuracy under time pressure and comfort with unfamiliar, multi-step problems, the exact skills those tests reward.
